Release and Control

One of the most important things is to not let the way people act toward you influence the way you think. For example, people may perform actions towards you which may make you feel uncomfortable, uneasy. Sometimes people do things to other people where someone will become traumatized as a result. The important thing to remember is that we are all mere humans and that there is no reason to let mere mortals affect the way you operate your life or affect the way you think to result in negative consequences. You must impart rigidity into your mind, so that external events will never result in negative progression of your mentally.

There is a difference between shielding and adapting. Just because you shield your mind from the effects of a negative situation doesn’t mean that you don’t adapt yourself in response to it. In addition to shielding your mind to the effects of a negative situation you must also adapt yourself to prevent an encounter with a reoccurring negative situation.

your greatest threat lies within your own mind
your greatest threat to yourself is you

You can only be a slave to yourself.
Only you can enslave you.
Only you can entrap yourself.

Human nature, we seek to find commonalities in others.

We seek to fit in.

Controlling your mind must come from within.

Controlling behaviors

Be conscious of your movements, move using coordinated movements.
Also, OCD is another problem like addiction that can be mentally overridden.
Focus on the issue.

Or whatever it is called when you think you forgot something so you have to check it. Focus on the action, and impart it to conscious memory, consciousness.

Gambling can be another addictive, compulsive behavior.
Nail biting, hair pulling

Human’s unique ability

Does any other creature other than the human have the mental capacity to change its course of action through the realization of willpower and self-control rather than natural instinct and primal motives, where natural instinct and primal motives are driven by hormones which result in chemical and electrical signals to the brain?

What makes humans unique is that as animals, we are driven by hormones, natural instinct, primal motives, chemical and electrical signals in the brain. Chemicals are different stimulants which result in unique expressions in emotion and behavior. Yet we have the ability to be conscious of our actions and their consequences. We have the ability to analyze

The hardest thing as a human is trying to be master of our mind. Say if one is suffering from life-threatening ailments / health issues. There is something going on in their body, but the health problem is not directly controlling their thoughts. They choose to think about their health issue. They choose to think about the bad things that could happen to them. They choose to worry, they choose to let things cascade, go into depression, get sad, stress, frustrated. But the mind is for the most part separate from the body. There are things like hormones which tug on the thoughts of the mind, but ultimately we have the full power and capability to control our thoughts, master our mind.

That is what sets us apart as humans from all other creatures. We have the ability to be aware of what we are doing, thinking. We have a conscious. We have the capability to control the way all the things external and internal affect us. Picture the palm of your hand up against another’s palm. They can push against you, you can push back. That person pushing against you is all the factors acting on you, indirectly and directly, subconsciously and consciously, subliminally, media, health issues, interpersonal relationships, addictive tendencies, anger, desires, etc. But you can push back mentally, you can push back with your mind. You can choose to push back with your mind and come to equilibrium and peace. The disease does not make you worried, scared, sad, depressed, angry, etc. You choose to dwell on the issue and let your worry cascade into a flurry of negative emotions and feelings. But, you can choose to mentally come to equilibrium and find peace in your thoughts and state of mind.

What gets me is people who act like they do not have mental control of certain things in their lives. As humans, we have the capability to control what we think about, by consciously guiding what we focus on. We have full control of our thought, word, and deed, all of which stem from the mind.

Given any situation, no matter what that situation may be, you have the power to control your mind.

Media attempts to impose subliminal messages upon the target audience as a means of which to

What’s interesting is that

I have a mind
I think
I am in a body
There are other humans out there
I communicate with other humans
I use five senses to interact with
I exist on the world
There are objects and things I interact with

Unlike animals, humans possess the capability to evaluate how the environment affects the way we think.

People like murderers, rapists, etc. allow themselves to be shaped by their environment. They are weak.

Do you let your environment shape you or do you shape your environment?

Between you, and people, is interaction. It is typical in human nature to develop a personality profile that reinforces that interaction / response. Because the person chooses to let the interactions affect who they become.

Control Analysis of other conditions other than those within you

What about death, disease, loss of loved ones? You've never really experienced these things - yet. Or what about those with mental illnesses like manic depression, DDT, schizophrenia, etc.?

But how would individuals under those conditions control themselves?
How would they learn to recognize their behaviors and control themselves?

On Changing My Negative Views and Perspective and Reconfiguring My State of Mind

Think at the engineering level

Reconfigure your state of mind

Change your attitude
Change your mindset
Change your focus

Accept the facts that are associated with the person you are.
Then move on.
And focus on your current goals and objectives
And do not dwell on the negative facts associated with your past and who you are.
They will always be part of the person you are, but you do not need to think about them.
It will not do you any good to think about them

You have to be positive
Show happiness
Be happy

Focus on being the best employee you can
Focus on being the best student you can

Do not focus on how others treat you
Even if they treat you like shit,
Just focus on being the best you can
And do not let other external influences or negative internal influences affect your goals objectives and mission

Be optimistic

People pick up on your attitude, how you act
Therefore, show people that you are a go-getter, positive, aggressive,

You have to always be "on"

To master oneself one must first master one's
•Feelings
•Emotions
•Desires
•Temptations
•Sensations

Difference Between Control and Regulation

The goal is to not let yourself become overwhelmed with emotion, regardless of the situation.

Things may happen which tend to evoke feelings within.
You must learn to recognize these moments and erase the emotions

For example, things happen that tend to evoke anger, such as watching a stock go up just after you sold it. You need to suck it in and not become angry. Perhaps you think at times that it is your destiny to get fucked over but you make decisions. I mean you can kill yourself or you can go on, but don't get angry. You suck it in and move on.

Or perhaps if a naked female was laying there looking at you, someone you know well, and maybe it will tend to evoke emotion. But you must realize that it is just a human with a mind, a bio organism that will be dead one day, a bio machine. That female is a moving thinking bio machine.

The thing is, different interactions tend to evoke different emotions by stimulation of the five senses.

For example, a pleasant smell like that of flowers may make you feel relaxed. The smell of shit would make you feel disgusted. Watching the sun set on a beautiful beach with a beautiful girl that you like would make you feel all excited and relaxed at the same time. Eating good food when you are hungry makes you feel real satisfied and happy inside and content. When you get a bad grade on a test you are mad. When you get a good grade on a test you are happy. When too many negatives occur anger accumulates. When many positives accumulate (rare) one becomes overjoyed. You may think about bad things that happened to you in the past and it will result in anger. Maybe you will encounter an occasion of difficult communication with a superior and it will make you feel uneasy and nervous.

Regardless of the situation,

You must learn to recognize how, why and when you become affected and you must learn to prevent being overtaken.

Despite the situations and despite the different interactions with the environmental variables, one must recognize and learn to control the tendencies for emotion or feelings to unravel.

Bottom line:
To ever be controlled by your feelings and emotions is to be weak.

When you control your feelings, emotions, and natural desires - you control and are master of yourself.

If you go for days and days without sleep, are you week to let tiredness gain control?

If you go for weeks and weeks without removing sperm, are you week to let sexual thoughts gain control?

If you go days and days without eating, are you weak to let hunger take control?

The important thing is that some things can be regulated and some things can be controlled.

If you don't eat you die.
If you don't sleep you will lose proper function.

Part of it has to do with controlling yourself but another part is that you must learn to regulate your lifestyle so that you can live your life at equilibrium.

You must decide what to focus on from day to day.

Anger can always be controlled; you simply refrain from getting angry, as with any emotion or feeling. But it is not just about not showing it on the inside, it is about not feeling it on the inside as well.

Anger most always does not benefit oneself.

The thing is, people are going to react to you a certain way, and that depends on you are feeling, how they perceive you, and that has to do with how your mannerisms and behavior and how you look and conduct yourself. You may make conclusions about why people react to you a certain way but those conclusions may be incorrect.

You may be making assumptions as to the reasons for why people react to you a certain way but those assumptions may be wrong! Maybe those assumptions will lead you to change something about yourself when it wasn't really necessary because people were reacting to you in a certain way for some other reason.

The thing is, you want to become a better person. How do you want people to perceive you? Thing is, certain parameters which define who you are, are pretty hard to change, such as your height. And those parameters which are pretty impossible to change have an effect on how people react to you. And certain people might get discouraged because they have too great a number of those hard to change parameters. Therefore, regardless of how hard they try, they will not be able to get beyond a certain level.

Self Mastery, Reconfiguring Self for Better Life Results

What constitutes becoming a better person?

Being productive
Being efficient
Coping well with others, learning to get along with others
Becoming healthier physically, mentally, spiritually
Developing an active lifestyle
Becoming fully independent

How shall these things be achieved?

You have to turn over a new leaf, become better than who you are, you can always become better.

You have to show people you care. You have to convey to people that the way you feel is sincere.

Specific example
When you greet a table you have to make them believe that you are sincerely happy friendly courteous and gracious.
Specific example

Even though you look a certain way (genetically in your facial features and body type and etc), you can still change physical and visual attributes about yourself so that you appear more appealing, and come off as a more confident person (such as how you dress, your hygiene, and exercise). But always remember that more than your looks, your personality is the main factor that contributes to the way people will react to you and feel about you (in the long term). Remember the way people feel about you is dependent upon the way you act.

People make initial (short-term) impressions of you based largely on your physical and visual appearance. People make eventual (long-term) impressions of you based largely on your personality.

You cannot choose not to talk in certain situations because you do not feel like talking or you see a purpose not to talk when you can actually benefit from communicating. The more you communicate with someone, the more a person gets a sense of whom you really are.

You have to show people you care, show people you are interested.

You must be confident in who you are, you must exude confidence.
You must be confident in yourself always, then others will see that.
If you exude confidence, others will see that confidence.

If there is a person or persons who you wish to be better associated with sometimes it is helpful to become knowledgeable about certain subject matter that they are interested in. it is all in the image you convey to others as to how others respond to you.

observation
It seems as though all CEOs and upper management personnel have a quite similar demeanor about them.
observation

Often times individuals grow up and develop based on the people they grew up around. And their behaviors are reflected in those people. Their behaviors are similar to those they grow up around.

You must come to your own self-realization and ask yourself if that is really the person you want to be, if those behaviors are truly right.

You have to learn to recognize the naturally occurring behavioral trends that occur within yourself and ask if that is what you want.

It’s all about setting yourself apart from the rest, and rising to the top.

Everyone is born unto this world with a predetermined set of variables and conditions. Certain factors you have no control over such as, to whom you are born unto, the social and cultural conditions of which you are born unto, the surroundings of which you are born unto.

Also one has no control of their genetic make-up, what makes you who you are. But sometimes your genetic makeup naturally sets you apart from others for example if you are born with genes where you develop into a very attractive person or if you are born with genes that render you with some sort of disfigurement or handicap.

But most everything else you have control over. You can set yourself apart from the rest, and make yourself better than the rest in almost every way.

That has to do with getting certain things you want in life.

We are given a predetermined set of genetic traits and we are forced to adjust our personalities

There is a correlation between physical appearance and personality/attitude

If you have the highest/best physical appearance and low

If a male or female is highly attractive but with low intelligence

The better one looks the more respect one receives based off of first impressions, but for the long term, respect is based on one's personality

You have predetermined variables that are set for you as you are born into this world. You are given a family, born into an environment, and given a physical appearance, all of which you have no control over, these are things that are deemed upon you. Now you may have a mind that does not even feel like it should be associated with all of the other predeterminations.

You are deemed a:
Mind
Body
Environment
Family

Self-regulation and genetic predetermination with respect to life success

You can think of it as self-regulation rather than self-control. I am undergoing a constant process of self-regulation, constantly assessing and evaluating my conditions and correcting and adjusting them. I need to assess my actions, spread out my plan along a timetable. I must frequently brainstorm ideas for advancement. I must frequently brainstorm on developing alternative pathways that will lead to the same goal faster than my current or chosen route. I believe in creating step-by-step processes that if followed, will help one create a more efficient and fulfilling lifestyle. Remember that in creating your general plan, you may diverge into specific life examples. It is almost impossible to construct a general plan without incorporating conclusions from real life examples. To begin a session you must first be aware of the conditions that define your current state. You were set forth upon this world given a specific set of genetic conditions. At any given point in time you are given a set of variables that determine your situation. Keeping in mind your genetic condition and your current situation, you need to decide how you are going to manipulate your environment to create the best possible outcome for yourself while minimizing the time required to achieve that state. Intelligence is composed of a multitude of factors. Is the ability to efficiently self-regulate oneself one of those factors?

We are deemed a set of physical conditions

We are set forth in this world applied with constraints

I am always undergoing a constant process of reevaluating my personality, and making adjustments to it

Controlling Oneself

The human mind experiences fluctuations of way of thinking. (what kind of fluctuations??) The factors (what factors??) we interact with influence our thought processes. Our five senses allow us to absorb information. It is up to each individual to control oneself.

The trick is to find the most correct frame of mind, and to stick with it at all times. (What does this mean?)

How do you find the most correct frame of mind? What is the most correct frame of mind? Remember that everyone has a different point of view. You think crying is not good. Others would say that it is good sometimes. Try to find common points that every human encounters such as temptations and desires.

Temptations and desires influence our thought patterns. We need to see through those things and find equilibrium. Emotions may try and get a hold of us. Anger, love, even joy must be controlled. We must in controlling ourselves, direct ourselves to concentrate and focus on learning. We must control our bodies, so that our actions are coordinated and graceful.

If there is a person, one human, one individual, one entity, such as a spouse, friend, etc., that is interacting with you in a way as to induce or elicit certain emotional responses, realize that it is just one person, one mortal being. Don't let your natural responses control your behavior. You cannot give in to pressures that will only weaken you in the end. When an attractive individual throws hints, flirtatious actions, perhaps to be used as bait, you are not to take it. Do not take the bait from anyone. Actions from an attractive individual invoke natural desires that invoke feelings and emotions, which can tear you away from your focus or goal.
Don't let other humans affect you. Humans cannot live without humans. Most humans are never really in control of themselves. You must control the inside before you control the outside. Master yourself. You don't need anything and you don't need anybody in order to maintain a mental state of equilibrium.

You should not let yourself be brought down by negative aspects associated with yourself.

I cannot let these facts bring me down.
I cannot dwell on these things.

I must have confidence.
I must feel strong of myself.
I must have spirit.
Desire makes one weak.
It is natural for the average human to give in to things that are easier.
Part of what makes the really successful people who they are is because they have the focus, determination, mind set, will power, and drive to keep going non-stop until they succeed.
They do not succumb to trivial things and do not escape their problems.
They look their problems dead in the eye, and defeat them.

Focus and concentrate on increasing your productivity and output, then your state of mind will follow.

Focus on recognizing the thoughts that naturally arise within

Recognizing to control
You can close your eyes and think about different things. Depending on what you think about, those thoughts will tend to influence how you feel. You take in from your surroundings and the experiences absorbed over time tend to influence the person you are and the things you think about. What you take in from your surroundings influences your thoughts and thought processes. You may think certain things, and they will tend to naturally invoke certain feelings within you. How does one overcome those tendencies? The issue is that it is so natural for one to feel naturally in regard to a situation, to feel in a certain typical way that is felt all throughout one’s life. In other words, people develop typical habitual reaction patterns in regards to similar situations or occurrences, to the point where it becomes very difficult for one to change the way one feels in regards to those situations. In other words, if one wants to change the way one feels in regard to a situation that is recurring, then one must recognize and change the way one feels for every occurrence in order to begin to truly change the way you are.

You have to recognize that you are acting in a certain way. If you are experiencing anger you need to realize you are experiencing anger by saying to yourself, ‘I am getting mad’.

A big part of mastering feelings, emotions, and desires is to recognize when they begin controlling your mind. When you recognize it, you can control it.

Dealing with pent up frustrations

It is not uncommon for an individual to bottle up feelings, only to release them all in a single outburst explosion. Often, these “bottled up” feelings are reflected upon in negative light. Negative feelings should not be stored within. The key is to not bottle up feelings, so in consequence, outbursts become nonexistent. You must recognize when internal and external frustrations are aroused within you. Just as well, you must focus on removing them, rather than storing them. You must expel, completely remove negative feelings from your system. Do not store them.

If there is a frustration, then there is a problem. If you have many frustrations, then you have many problems. By exploding, you are coming back to equilibrium with yourself, but the problems are still there. Also, by exploding, negative consequences may result with respect to yourself or your surroundings.

Usually, feelings will accumulate for some time, and you will become increasingly irritable. Eventually, you will explode in anger, burning all the fuel. Then, after all your fuel is spent, you will be weak and will cry. After that you may be tired, depressed, and withdrawn. After some time, you will come back around and the cycle will start over again. Part of the reconfiguration process is to recognize these cyclic patterns in your behavior, and to realize that they have a deteriorating impact on your life.

What separates the uncommon from the common?

What separates the uncommon from the common?

By the way in which one is able to be controlled.

•If you are controlled by your inherent desire to escape – that is common.
•If you are controlled by addictive and compulsive behaviors – that is common.
•If you are controlled by anger – that is common.
•If you allow yourself to be influenced by the way in which others act towards you, thus to be controlled by others – that is common.
•If you are controlled by sexual thought – that is common.
•If you let your physical appearance affect the way you act, thus to be controlled by your physical appearance – that is common.
•If you let your level of intellectual ability affect the way you act – that is common.
•If you are controlled by your emotions – that is common.

These things affect one’s ability to concentrate, focus on the problems at hand, and work towards the things that truly matter.

Set yourself apart from the rest,
Be uncommon.

The kids from columbine who killed,
They were controlled by anger,
And also by the way in which others acted towards them,
They were common.
What was unusual was the degree in which they were controlled by their anger.
Nevertheless, they were still common.

Terrorists who blow themselves up and commit suicide,
They are controlled by others,
They are common.

One who is uncommon is one who does not let oneself be shaped by their environment. Somebody who is uncommon is somebody who is able to control their mind.

One’s level of achievement is influenced by the degree in which one is controlled.

Let go of the control – release.

What separates the strong-minded from the weak-minded?

By the way in which one is able to be controlled.

•If you let yourself be controlled by your inherent desire to escape your problems – that is weak.
•If you let yourself be controlled by addictive and compulsive behaviors – that is weak.
•If you let yourself be controlled by anger – that is weak.
•If you let yourself be controlled by the way in which others act towards you – that is weak.
•If you let yourself be controlled by sexual thoughts – that is weak.
•If you let yourself be controlled by the way you feel about your physical appearance – that is weak.
•If you let yourself be controlled by the way you feel about your level of intellectual ability – that is weak.
•If you let yourself be controlled by your emotions – that is weak.
•If you let yourself be controlled by the media – that is weak.

These things affect one’s ability to concentrate, focus on the problems at hand, and work towards the things that truly matter.

Separate oneself from the common,
Be strong.

To separate oneself from the common,
To be strong,
This is difficult,
But it is the way

So let go of the control – release.

On what basis does one make the decisions one makes?

On controlling one’s mind

The question that remains is:
How does one control one’s mind when there are so many forces acting on it?
dissatisfaction with self
anxiety
fear
stress
anger
frustration
viewpoints – always focuses on the negative
getting older
health issues
lack of coordination with environment
feels like luck is against you

You have the ability to choose

I can choose to dwell on negative aspects associated with my life
Or,
I can choose NOT to dwell on negative aspects associated with my life

I can choose to dwell on aspects of my past that I am very displeased with
Or,
I can choose NOT to dwell on aspects of my past that I am very displeased with

I can choose to spend my time and thought in a constructive and productive manner

Things may occur that may promt anger

You can choose to get angry
Or,
You can choose NOT to get angry

Something may occur that will provoke an angry reaction
This anger may be represented, conveyed, or expressed in many different forms:
•Yelling
•Destructive actions
•Thoughts of anger (actions or deeds)
•High blood pressure

How are these things initiated?

Frustration and anger go almost hand in hand. Usually anger is the result of heightened frustration. Frustration may lead to anger

Why can’t the two be kept separate?
Frustration is good
Frustration may propel us to change our lives for the better, without frustration we would be satisfied with our lives and feel no motivation
Anger is bad
Typically anger only results in negative consequences in the future. This may result in more frustration, which will lead to more anger.
This is why anger must be isolated and removed.

So why do humans get angry?
If it serves no beneficial purpose, why is it so easily aroused within us?

Evolution
Genes
Testosterone leads to anger
Aggression

In the stone age days higher testosterone levels were better because that translated into better hunting ability, better ability to fend off against invaders, better ability to protect.

Some humans are more passive than others
Some humans are more aggressive than others
Naturally
The aggressive ←→ passive range in people to some degree must be genetic. It is thought that certain dogs were bred in such a manner that successive generations were more and more passive because the breeders would only choose the most passive pups of a litter for breeding.

Using Willpower as a Means for Self-Control

But sometimes the question may become: why use self-control?

A desire to have sex is necessary for species which reproduce sexually. Without a desire to have sex a species would have trouble sustaining.

There are reasons why people experience the thoughts they do.

Except that there are extremes in which certain thoughts can be taken, and when these thoughts are translated into actions is when problems may arise.

Sometimes the question may be, “Why control?” or, “When to control?” “How do I know when to control?”

Control can range from 0% to 100%, where you have completely no control, control yourself completely, or have control somewhere in between. For example, regulating the number of alcoholic beverages you have. You are not completely cutting yourself off and you are not completely getting yourself wasted, but you are regulating the number of beverages you drink.

Sometimes, between two different times t1 and t2, the same entity may have two completely contrasting points of view. At time t1 an individual may be experiencing thoughts and committing actions that reflect those thoughts. Then, at a later time t2 the individual thinks, “why did I think those thoughts?” and “why did I commit those actions?”

Who is self? What is representative of self? The self is dynamic. The same person may have different ideas and different beliefs and different ideals at different times. The things one believes in when one is young may be very different from the things that one believes in at a later age.

One does not exist through time with a static mindset: the same beliefs, ideals, feelings, emotions, and desires over time.

There are many reasons why one’s mind does not remain constant over time.
Part of the reason one’s mind may change over time is to adapt to the conditions that surround it.

The body utilizes food as an energy source in order to sustain itself. Hunger is also necessary for species survival. Without a desire to be hungry an entity would have a much higher probability of dying sooner.

Controlling self

A big step in becoming master of your mind is to be conscious of your thoughts, and to control or redirect what you think about

You have to be your own life coach

If you possess the willpower and the determination, then you will persevere to succeed in whichever way you desire.

Be conscious of your thoughts
Irrational thoughts
Worldly desires
Remove your inhibitions
How hard are you willing to push yourself?
How good are you at being your own boss?

It doesn’t matter if you are granted your dreams, what you always want, you will still eventually get bored of that and want something else.

If you are the type of person that gets down on yourself because of your situation then it won’t matter what your situation is because you will always be unsatisfied.

Maybe you want to have a lot of money, surf, have a lot of friends, live in a nice place, but you will still get bored of all that eventually and want something else.

It is human nature to experience things that are new, fun, and exiting. But after long enough, it is not new, and the fun and excitement wanes.

Reconfiguring Mind and Phase of Mind

Related: Addiction, Compulsive Behavior and Problem Evasion, Modes of Thought, Phases or Elements of Mind, Your Two Halves

There are many, many factors, (some of which are quick to come to mind and some that take much time to decipher) that impose weight upon the mind. These factors which tend to influence the direction or momentum of thought. Therefore, how does one reconfigure and reorient one’s mindset, internally, with all of these factors constantly imposing weight of one degree or another upon it? A child may yell at his mother and throw a tantrum because he doesn’t want to eat his beans. Yet, if he was dying of hunger, that child would crave those beans, and perhaps they would taste good as well. Chemical / biological reactions within the body shape what is desired or wanted at any given time. This forms the basis for many occasions in which people do things at one point in time, and regret them at another point in time. For example, in a pre-drunk state one is with friends, peer pressure, or is having a good time, or is enjoying the taste of the beer, or is trying to escape problems, or all of the above. One leads to two, two to three, and so on. Post-drunk state, one has hangover, does not feel good, throws up, hurts oneself or others physically or emotionally by accident. In this state, one does not want alcohol, does not want to drink it.

Effect of a New Stimulus Upon the Mind, Effect of a Trigger Over Time

When something positive happens to you, initially you are really excited, but over time, that excitement wears off and you seek something else to bring excitement.
And reintroduction of the same stimulus over time has a lesser effect each time it is reintroduced.

Plateaus

It’s not right, none of it is, the longing, desiring, sexual desire, fear, anger, frustration, wanting to eat sweet foods, stress, regret, remorse,

We plateau and continuously want new highs in order to achieve the same level of satisfaction, or a higher level of satisfaction.

Effect of Hormones

Effect of Hormones and Controlling chemical tendencies within oneself

Not only is one’s ability to control oneself dependent upon one’s willpower and internal strength and ability to look at one’s own behavior and actions. Perhaps also one’s ability to control oneself is dependent upon the amount of different chemical hormones the body produces, as more of a certain chemical which tends to produce a certain behavior effect would make it harder to reduce and control that behavior.

Using conscious, metaconscious thinking, realization of self, and willpower, to overcome and counteract chemical forces. Where chemical forces are: DNA, amino acids, proteins, hormones. The hormones result in alterations to mood, or state of being.

Animals, with the exception of humans, have no force to counteract the effects of hormone triggers, they simply act in response to the fluctuating hormone levels with time.

There are many different types of hormones produced in many different areas of the body, resulting in different tendencies toward the mind.

Is it possible that the mind can be “strengthened” by administering larger and larger doses of individual hormones, such as one builds muscle by lifting heavier and heavier loads? Can the mind be strengthened? Can the mind be trained to resist the tendencies imposed upon it by hormones?

How do you mentally control desires caused due to natural chemical processes which regularly occur within your body?

It must be understood that chemical changes occur within your body that tend to affect how your mind thinks. You can allow yourself to be controlled by these chemical changes or you can overcome their influence.

Move Beyond the Animal

Move beyond the animal

Move beyond the animal state of mind

Does God bestow upon us trials and tribulations or are these things that we fashion ourselves?

Is it not harder to maintain order over disorder?

And so, why must it be easier to do that which is undesirable, according to the whole?

What is it that the whole seeks to achieve?

The whole seeks to achieve order, not disorder.

Why does an animal go search for food?

Are not most all characteristics inherent in today’s organisms there for the purpose of species survival, and for the betterment of that specie’s ability to survive and thrive?

The only purpose of all creatures that have lived in the past is the contribution towards the future generation.

Does the awareness of man contribute to the survival of homosapiens?

The Challenge

Are all of our thoughts, the things we choose to do and not to do, a result of the multitude of biological / chemical driving factors imposing weight upon our minds at different degrees and at different times? Or are there also thoughts, which occur within our minds, that are independent of these factors? If so, then how much of our thoughts and actions are a result of the driving factors? How to differentiate between a thought or action that is caused by a biological / chemical factor and one that is not? It is expected that certain people who possess different levels of authority have a corresponding degree of control over their minds and thus their actions. But they too, falter. How much of a challenge does it pose upon people to control their minds?

One has a desire to have a companion
One has a desire to have sex
One has a desire to socialize with different people in friendly settings
One has a desire to meet and get to know new and interesting people
One has a desire to be successful in life
One has a desire to understand
One has a desire to eat
One has a desire to sleep
One has a desire to be happy
Etc, etc, etc…
These desires interact with each other and produce / result in different effects / outcomes
The fulfillment / unfulfillment of these desires will affect the emotional state of an individual, whether one is happy / sad, elated / depressed

How can a feeling be brought back without corrective actions / behaviors?

Actions Follow Thoughts

The mind experiences fluctuations of thinking. Over time, the ability to control the mind fluctuates. Sometimes thoughts enter the mind which we do not wish to have. A person may force another to do something against their own will. Sometimes one’s own thoughts cause one to do something against their own will. Actions come first from thoughts. Thoughts are translated to actions.

Negative action, or inaction, begins with negative thought. Our actions are controlled by first controlling our thought.

Reinforcing

What is especially troublesome is the states of mind that a human passes through

The things one chooses to think about will reinforce that same type of thinking later on.

Misc

if you do not get embarrassed or nervous then people can not exploit you

It is a natural tendency for the mind to retain those events that are most traumatic or extreme into memory.

Comparisons

Also see Human Desires

Often one makes comparisons, where these comparisons are made against people or qualities of people that you perceive as being better than you. By comparing yourself against people or qualities of people that you perceive as being better than you, creates discontentment. Discontentment is created because you feel that you are less than what you could be.

Things are relative, which means that regardless of how low or high one’s status or position is, they can still make comparisons to others or qualities of others that they perceive as being better.

Or, you may be thinking in your mind, other people are probably having a good time right now, outside, socializing, it is a beautiful afternoon outside, other people must be going out and having fun. You make this comparison, and feel discontentment, because you are not experiencing this enjoyment that you feel lots of other people are.

Searching for Something We Feel Is Missing

Similar to making comparisons, we may find ourselves searching to find something that we feel is missing in our lives, and sometimes we may not even know what that something is!

For example, one may find themselves looking for a boyfriend or girlfriend, because they feel that is missing in their life. Then, when they find someone, they begin thinking about marriage and kids, because eventually, they will begin to feel that is missing from their life. Then, if a couple has been married for a while, and has a family, the male or female of the relationship may seek excitement, because they feel a sense of dullness. They feel that this something now missing from their life is excitement, so they seek sexual affairs. Or, they even may seek to be alone again! because they find value in that freedom that they see in being without a wife and kids.

One thing leads to another. If something is perceived as missing, and is then acquired, one will begin to feel that something else is missing, and will begin to search for that. It is perpetual.

After removal of sperm, one feels a peace of mind. As sperm accumulates, one gradually begins to feel more and more discontent.

Pleasure displaces discontentment and lets us find peace of mind. Unfortunately, it is often found that peace of mind is short-lived.

Worries
Worries is another factor that will cause discontentment, and make peace of mind hard to obtain.

Anger
Anger is another.

There are certain things that are wanted temporarily and there are other things that are wanted always. You must discern between these different types of wants and realize that the ones that are wanted always are the ones that have any significance.

Reconfiguring Mind

Sometimes memories are bad because they may induce feelings of sorrow or grief, caused by regret from having done something you wish you hadn't or wishing you had done something differently, or wishing you had done something that you didn't.

Therefore, you must learn to "discard" certain memories, "abolish" them from your mind.

It all depends on how you visualize it. If you visualize it as "blocking it out" then you know that it is still there, waiting. If on the other hand you tell yourself you are discarding it all together, you may have a much better chance of it not affecting you.

Consequences of Negative Thoughts

Sometimes you may look at yourself in the mirror and you will see yourself in a negative way. You may dwell on certain undesirable physical characteristics relating to yourself. You may look back on all the things you did wrong in your past, and how you are not where you want to be at your current state. You may dwell on these negative things and develop a dislike towards yourself.

When you keep thinking negatively towards yourself, you may begin to act in the way you see yourself. When you act the way you see yourself others will pick up on that and they will begin to treat you in a corresponding manner. So it will only continue the cycle, and you will not improve your condition.

Sure, acknowledge who you are, what you've done in the past, that you're not perfect. But get on with it. Accept who you are and then disregard your flaws or imperfections and start acting like the person you want to be. Act like the person you want to be and you will become that person.

Focusing one's energy and avoiding negative behavior patterns

A critical problem I face is that many external sources cause my frame of mind to decrease to a lower state. Should I say that I allow those factors to lower my frame of mind? The brain finds it easier to cope with its surroundings by adopting patterns or cyclic behavior. Why are people reluctant to exercise their brainpower relative to various functions? Why do people not have a strong desire to learn? Willpower is a key word. People must focus their mind, change the way they think, force their minds to operate at a higher level as problems rise in complexity. People get into patterns of watching TV quite often, hanging with the same friends often, listening to music often, and playing videogames often. Often times when people are presented with obstacles or hurdles, they feel compelled to revert to unproductive behavioral patterns. Perhaps people are dissatisfied with their position; they may dwell on the issues they face. I need to prioritize my goals, focus my energy, and plan with respect to the long-term. I cannot be distracted by inconsequential temptations; I must tune out the noise. I must not focus on what I am, but what I can become. A significant problem that needs to be overcome is that I find myself too easily distracted by certain factors that do nothing but take away valuable time that could have been contributed towards trying to accomplish my goals. I also find that it is hard for myself, once in an unproductive behavior pattern, to get out of it. I need for my brain to be easily adaptable, quick to change with respect to the conditions of my surroundings. I have to work on changing my focus quickly. Changing my state of mind or mindset. I have to learn how to quickly adjust my function for different processes. I need to utilize my brain's potential. I believe most humans have an intellectual capacity of which they choose only to use a small percentage of. I do not want to fall into the same trap. I need to use my willpower to the fullest in order to extract as much of my intellect as possible, and to apply that intellect towards the accomplishing of set goals. I need to become aware of irrelevant compulsions when they occur and quickly dissipate them. I need to develop the ability to deeply concentrate on a complex solving strategy required of a problem while at the same time have the ability to communicate at a personable and constructive level. That is a very critical attribute for any person, especially when at work. I always try to catch myself if I start to act out a negative cyclic behavior pattern. I am always trying to refine my personality to fit my best interests.

You must override your feelings

You must override your feelings, emotions and desires for they are irrelevant.
Who says your feelings, emotions and desires are irrelevant.
They are obstacles that slow you down from trying to achieve your goals.

To feel lonely, to feel need for compassion, to feel desire for anything,

Desire and ambition are two different things?

To feel a desire for anything that detracts from the constructive and productive functionality of oneself is to be weak.

To experience feelings and emotions is to be weak.

Never get too exited or happy about anything because you will always be brought back down from your positive high.

Humbleness.

Always have a certain level of cautiousness with any relationship because no matter how good and wonderful you might think you are getting along with someone, they may act completely different without any warning.

Life is as hard as you make it.

All you have to do to succeed in life is just push your ass all the way.

Be productive and constructive all the time.

The idea of right and wrong is derived from the human mind. If there are no humans there is no right and wrong. Our whole progress can be summed up as creating order from disorder as efficiently as possible. The mind of the human differs greatly from the mind of society. Society creates its own values of right and wrong. Each human can also create their own values of right and wrong but are pressured to follow those of society. Principles of society are productivity, efficiency,

Most people you are going to be in competition with are not going to give 100 percent. If you catch a bad day, you are going to run up against somebody willing to do 87 percent. You're still going to win. When you say you are going to run three miles, run five. With that mentality, it is difficult to lose. A person can have average talent but a sick, obsessive, raw animal drive and can still really succeed in the world.

Running introduces you to your worst enemy, to that person who tells you, "Ooh, our ankles hurt and we should stop. Why do we need to run five miles? Let us run three." That is the same person who says to the man, "Hey, your wife will never find out if you sleep with her," and the same person who tells the 16-year old, "You are not gonna be cool if you do not smoke it." If you start giving in to that person, you will never get to your goals.

When you see a picture of someone you know, where do the feelings come from of which you feel for that person?

The feelings you experience are induced or evoked by the memories you have of that person. Without those memories that would just be another person

Sometimes it would be better to abstain from apology under certain situations where for example, by apologizing to someone they might then use that as a reason to……under certain conditions even if someone knows you made a mistake, if you apologize, that might give them the justification to come down on you - reword

Word usage - example - use less positive rather than negative, because then less positive is interpreted more like something that is positive, just less so. Whereas you say negative then it is interpreted as negative

Motivational

Think if there were four clones of me, only they were scaled up, no acne, no allergies and perfect vision. Things would get done four times as fast. Goals could be pursued four times as fast. There would be four times as much money.

I HAVE TO BE THOSE FOUR PEOPLE INTO ONE.
